FAQ DETAILS

Why is outsourcing unethical?

Outsourcing is often seen as unethical when companies prioritize cutting costs over fair treatment of workers. This can mean exploiting cheap labor in countries with weak labor laws, paying unfair wages, providing poor working conditions, or ignoring workers’ rights. Ethical concerns also arise when outsourcing leads to mass layoffs at home, hurting local communities. While outsourcing itself isn’t automatically unethical, the way companies handle it matters. Ethical outsourcing requires fair contracts, respect for labor rights, and accountability across the supply chain, not just chasing the lowest price at any human or social cost.
